Privacy Policy

Effective September 22, 2026

We collect what we need to run your account and to understand how the beta is used: your account details, product usage events, session recordings with form inputs and drawings masked, and error reports. We do not sell or share your personal information, and you can ask us to access or delete it at any time.

This Privacy Policy explains how EngifyHub ("we", "us") collects, uses and shares personal information when you use the EngifyHub web application and website (the "Service"). Your projects and drawings are your content and are covered by our Terms of Service; we process them only to provide the Service to you.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information: your name, email address, password (stored only as a salted hash), profile picture if you add one, and the organizations, projects and teams you belong to. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google.
  • Content you create: projects, drawings, documents, equipment and other data you enter, and comments and approvals on revisions.
  • Usage data (PostHog): product events such as pages viewed and features used, linked to your account once you sign in, plus device, browser and approximate location derived from your IP address.
  • Session recordings (PostHog): recordings of how you interact with the application, used to find usability problems. Everything you type into form fields is masked, and the drawing canvas is masked, so your drawings are not captured.
  • Error reports (Sentry): when something breaks, technical details about the error, your browser and the request, which may include your IP address and user identifier.
  • Security and log data: sign-in sessions (including IP address and browser), and server logs kept to secure and operate the Service.
  • Legal acceptance: the version of these documents you accepted and when.

2. How we use it

  • to provide, maintain and secure the Service and your account;
  • to understand how the beta is used, fix bugs and improve features;
  • to send you service messages, such as password resets and important changes, and, if you agree, product updates you can unsubscribe from;
  • to respond to your requests and comply with the law.

We do not sell your personal information, do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and do not use your content to train machine-learning models.

3. Service providers

We use a small number of providers that process data on our behalf, under contracts that limit their use of it:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) — file storage and backups (United States).
  • PostHog — product analytics and session recordings (United States).
  • Sentry — error monitoring (United States).
  • Our email provider — delivery of account and service emails.
  • Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our users or the Service, or as part of a merger or acquisition, in which case this Policy continues to apply.

4. Sharing inside the Service

People you invite to an organization or project, and anyone you send a share link to, can see the content you give them access to and your name as its author. Others viewing a drawing at the same time can see your name and cursor.

5. Retention

  • Account information and content are kept while your account is active. After you delete your account, we delete them within 30 days, and they are purged from backups within a further 90 days.
  • Usage data and session recordings are kept for up to 12 months; error reports for up to 90 days.
  • We keep records such as your legal acceptance for as long as the law requires.

6. Your choices and rights

You can update your name and password in account settings. Wherever you live, you can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, or to delete your account, by emailing legal@engifyhub.com.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, use and disclose (described above); to delete it; to correct it; and to opt out of its sale or sharing (we do neither). We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. You or an authorized agent can make a request by emailing legal@engifyhub.com; we will verify your identity, normally by confirming control of your account email, and respond within 45 days.

Your browser's Global Privacy Control and "Do Not Track" signals are honored where the law requires it. You can also block analytics with common browser extensions without losing access to the Service.

7. Security

We protect data with encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls and encrypted off-site backups. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as the law requires.

8. Children

The Service is for professionals and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information.

9. Changes to this Policy

We will notify you of material changes by email or in the Service before they take effect, and the effective date at the top of this page will change.
